Judd-676, Rare Pollock-755 Variant
1869 3CN Three Cent Nickel, Judd-676, Pollock-755, R.4, PR66 Cameo PCGS CAC. A Premium Gem specimen bearing a design that strongly resembles the business-strike three cent nickel of 1869, with the exceptions being a larger date and the pillars in the denomination are smooth. These pieces were struck in nickel with a plain edge. Andrew Pollock divided the Judd-676 issue into two varieties, with this coin representing the less available Pollock-755 type, rated as R.7, with long dentils and the left reverse ribbon end being shorter than the Pollock-753 type.

Beautifully preserved silver-white surfaces and potent luster are among the attributes this exceptional piece possesses. The reverse reveals an as-made lint mark at the third I and several tiny strike-throughs are present. Population: 2 in 66, 0 finer.
